As founder and leader of Core Choices Consulting, Greg brings experience as an
accomplished executive and career coach, facilitator, and concept leader dedicated
to helping others become self-coaching in realizing more and better choices. He guides
learners to leverage cognitive and feeling strengths, overcome barriers, develop their
whole person potential, and achieve results. His humanistic approach is complimented
by an energetic and caring style.

Greg’s own development was informed by growing up in the family agribusiness, located
in southern Maine, leading two non-profits during times of change, and, most significantly,
by his mentorship under mother Marijane, a highly regarded professor, counselor, and
contributor to the area of play therapy. Greg's belief in the fundamental goodness and
compassion at the core of every human being is foundational to his work and interactions
with others. His focus is on assisting others in their professional journeys, one person,
group, or organization at a time.

Greg’s work is informed by both humanist and social cognitivist lines of thought and he remains a student of multiple adult development, learning, and career theories – believing that different clients may benefit most from different approaches. Common veins running throughout his work include the focus on a person’s authentic core and personality, capacity and resiliency, life context, locus of control, and self-efficacy. During the last couple years, Greg has been working more with helping clients overcome their anxieties and fears as barriers to individual or organizational progress in both career and leadership contexts. Recent concepts Greg has developed include: Integrated Model of Adult Learning, Professional Value Proposition, Methodology for Combating Anxiety, and Masks of Anxiety. He is currently working on developing Workplace Intelligence and Generational Cross Pollination models/concepts.

Assessments Greg is experienced utilizing with clients or in group trainings include: MBTI, DiSC, Watson-Glaser II, FIRO-B, The Ken Blanchard Companies’ DISCovering Self and Others 360°, EQi, Golden Personality Profiler, Strong, Campbell, Jackson, Career Beliefs, Career Thoughts, Fall’s Workplace Anxiety Index, Fall’s Career Development Scale, and multi-rater/360° feedback instruments. While high validity and reliability coefficients are important to Greg, his client-centered approach asks first whether or not the client can connect with and draw value from any particular instrument.

Greg has completed an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and masters in adult and higher education from the University of Southern Maine.  He passed the SPHR exam in 2000, completed a certificate in training program at USM, and belongs to numerous local and national organizations, including ASTD, NCDA, and SHRM. Greg is currently working on a book, “Get Hired, Stay Hired."
