Separation Notification Support
When engaging us to provide your career transition / outplacement services, there is no charge for notification day support. Our belief in the positive impact notification day support can make for both you and your separated employees has been validated over years of experience. Just a brief, often 5 – 10 minutes, meeting with an impacted employee immediately following their notification can have a significant impact in several ways: maintaining their personal dignity, helping them manage their emotions and share the news with loved ones, identifying any potential harmful future behavior, connecting them to their next priority – job search/transition, and demonstrating the goodwill of their former employer.
Separation Meetings and Messaging
Core Choices Consulting offers a 1+ hour training session, integrated with and/or connected to any existing HR training, to prepare managers to deliver the message to each affected employee. Highlighted are: helping managers maintain the personal and professional dignity of all involved, appropriate behaviors to various emotional responses, and keeping the message consistent.
Managing the Impact of Separation on the Organization
This 2+ hour training session involves supervisors and management in a group process to better understand and act in the aftermath of the separation event, as well as begin the healing process themselves. Appropriate responses to various emotional reactions by employees is at the heart of this training, as is brainstorming ways to rebuild trust and focus on productivity.
