Although tailored to the needs of the organization, this program often consists 
of 1 day or 2 day workshops for up to 10 individuals. Past group programs have 
included multiple workshops running simultaneously and with somewhat larger 
participants per group in order to meet the demands of larger separation events. 
Workshops can be offered either on-site or at an off-site location, which we 
suggest considering.

While tailored as much as possible to the types of positions represented in the 
reduction in force, emphasis is on presenting and discussing fundamental job 
search strategies and tactics. A section on managing emotions is always 
included, as are sections on: knowing the market, self-assessment, preparing 
a marketing plan, developing a resume, the application process, integrating 
messaging, online job search, cover letters and other marketing tools, 
networking, interviewing, and negotiating. 

Our approach is one of building trust quickly in a safe and hands-on learning 
environment for maximum retention and impact. To the extent possible, 
workshops are tailored to participants’ interests and priorities. Organizations 
will often combine the group and individual programs with a typical 
combination being that of running a 1 day or 2 day workshop and then following up with 2 individual sessions per workshop participant to give more attention to individual needs.

At a minimum, the following standard online assessments are included in this program: Personality Preferences, Career Exploration, Values, Work Styles, and Strengths and Work Environment Fit.

Included is 3 months online access to EmploymentTalk 4.0 by Insala, the world leading provider of web-based job search and career transition solutions since 2000. The comprehensive and self-directed online tool includes: calendar / task / contact management, a meta-job searching portal, assessments, networking, a resume development assistant, Hoovers company database platinum access, Linkedin integration, job alerts, job search tips, and interactive video capabilities.
